Our Next Meeting – August 7th, 6pm – 8pm
Just a reminder, our August meeting will be on Tuesday, August 7th from 6pm – 8pm at MCC Charlotte – 1825 Eastway Drive, Charlotte, NC 28205. You can find directions and a map to our meeting location on the About Us page.
Avery Ke will be teaching us the joys of steeking! (Running with Scissors Part 1: Steeks) For this program you will need to bring the following homework:
- Swatch (see below for instructions)
- Crochet hook a size smaller than the needles you used. (If you used US size 8 needle, bring an F or G crochet hook)
- Waste yarn in different color (but ~same weight as swatch).
- Scissors with pointy ends.
Instructions for Swatch:
- CO 20 sts in a light colored yarn that is worsted weight or heavier.
- Row 1: k8, k4-tbl, k8
- Row 2: k2, p6, p4-tbl, p6, k2.
- Repeat rows 1-2 for 4-5 inches and bind off.

Donations for Charity
Don’t forget we are collecting item for the Batte Cancer Center in Concord, North Carolina. Patients are asking for hats, gloves, scarfs, small blankets and shawls. Hats made out of non-scraty materials are best. For more information, please contact email@example.com
