Charlotte Knitting Guild Meeting, Tuesday, April 3rd @ 6:00 pm

April Program

Our April program will be “April Fools,” presented by you!

Bring in examples or stories of times that your knitting has ‘fooled’ you and we can all learn from your boo-boos and how you fixed them (or maybe threw the whole thing in the rubbish, who knows?).

Also, we’d like to share some light snacks and have a lively social hour this month, so if you can buy or whip something up to bring along, please do. We should have some paper plates and cups and so forth, and we’re certainly not looking for anything heavy, expensive or complex!

Excellence in Knitting

Don’t forget about the Excellence in Knitting program this spring. Think about what you’ve made in the past year that you could submit. We’d love to see a submission from everyone!

Guild Business

We are losing our meeting space!
After a long and excellent relationship with Providence Baptist Church, they, unfortunately, will no longer be able to host our meetings. We have already started searching for new space, so if you have solid leads on meeting facilities, contact any board member to discuss your idea. We think that we have some viable options, but we’d hate to overlook any leads.

Board Elections
Want Charlotte to have the best-possible knitting guild? Then join the board and serve! Share your talents as vice-president, treasurer, secretary, membership/marketing coordinator, special event coordinator or charity coordinator. Board meetings are minimal. We typically conduct a lot of business by email. We particularly need energetic, creative and organized individuals. Shape the guild into being the group you want!

We will announce a new slate of board officers in later in the spring and vote the following month. If you are interested in learning more, talk with any of the current or former board members for more insight into what involvement looks like.

Directions and Meeting Info

We meet the first Tuesday night of every month at Providence Baptist Church, 4921 Randolph Rd, 28211 from 6 – 8 pm The first half hour is knitting and socializing, the remainder of the time is dedicated to learning new things. If you have completed a project since the last meeting, consider bringing the finished object with you for show-and-tell!
